Presentation to stand out from the crowd

There are so many estate agents out there. Doing the same thing you are doing. Sell­ing the same houses you are sell­ing. At least the vis­i­tors to your web­site think this way. Sell­ing a house is not an easy thing. There is a huge sup­ply at the moment, so it seems to be a buy­ers' mar­ket. How do you catch the inter­est of a buyer as soon as they enter your site. How can you make sure that your web­site stands out from the crowd?

We have seen many estate agents web­site, and we have noticed that all site look more or less the same.

 

A lot of them are very out­dated, and not work­ing smoothly. Besides that, not many estate agents dare to stand out of the crowd. 

What can you do to stand out?

In our opin­ion there are a few things you can do to safely stand out from the crowd. Noth­ing very excit­ing but impor­tant enough to pay some atten­tion to it.

First of all other things you do: make absolutely sure that all menu items, all links, all con­tent works prop­erly. By this we mean that there should be no pages on your site with "under con­struc­tion", or maybe even worse "no trans­la­tions avail­able". You bet­ter have a smaller site, with less con­tent and menu items than a big one with a lot of stuff that is not work­ing.

Sec­ond to that is that the nav­i­ga­tion should be clear and sim­ple. So sim­ple that the vis­i­tors to your site should really feel invited to click through to get to know your port­fo­lio and your agency. Let them feel wel­come by design­ing your web­site in such a way that it is easy for them to look fur­ther. To take the path through the site you have devel­oped for them.

Third, and that is a rather tricky thing for many of you out there: show who you are! You are the key fac­tor to your com­pany. Peo­ple buy or sell through your agency because they trust you will han­dle their affair with the utmost accu­racy and con­fi­den­tial­ity. Get your­self on your site, with every­body you work with. Yes that might be out of your com­fort zone, but hey, your vis­i­tors want to buy a house, in France that is. For many of your clients this is a life­long dream finally about to come through. Be aware of that. Be aware of the fact that they choose you because you are going to help them real­ize their dream. So show them who you are, and that you are here to help them, with your expert advice, your fan­tas­tic port­fo­lio and your enthu­si­asm for their plans.

So make sure that you show who you are, and that you really, really like what you do. Invite your vis­i­tors to con­tact you through a well-designed web­site, on which every­thing works because you have paid atten­tion to that.

If you don't pay atten­tion to your site and your pre­sen­ta­tion, why would a poten­tial client believe you will pay atten­tion to them? Sell­ing a house that looks like a mess is impos­si­ble too isn't it?

It is really very easy to con­vince the vis­i­tors to you site to con­tact you in real life. But you need to invest some time, energy, and prob­a­bly also money, in updat­ing your web­site to the stan­dard that your clients expect from you.
